Parkour Development Courses

Our Parkour Development Course are designed to give students structured progressive training in the discipline of parkour to get the most out of each class and build up their skills even faster! These courses have 5 different levels for students to complete, each with different aims and gradually increasing in difficulty. Completion of these courses not only enables faster progression with parkour but also rewards pupils with access to EXCLUSIVE merchandise and discounts that cannot be accessed through our other classes!

Courses Available

Yellow Development Course
(Level 1)

Our Yellow Course will give an introduction to parkour. With the focus on basic movements, our Yellow level is suitable for complete beginners and will help set you off on your parkour journey.

Red Development Course
(Level 2)

The Red Course is the next phase in our parkour development training. At the Red level pupils will build a solid base skill set across different areas of movement with the focus on learning to combine these skills into seamless runs.

Green Development Course
(Level 3)

During our Green Course, in addition to learning intermediate movements, pupils will also spend time training aspects of parkour that are more technical or psychological. The Green level will introduce the mindset of a parkour practitioner, not just the skill set.

Pink/Blue Development Course
(Level 4 and 5)

The higher level course will prepare athletes for the areas of parkour they are interested in taking their training. Whether they want to become local parkour coaches or athletes competing at competitions around the world, or even just for those interested in learning and training.

Course Structure

The courses are separated into blocks of themed lesson plans. These themes vary from the types of moves learned in the month (vaults, bar work, wall work etc) to more technical elements of parkour (foot placement and direction changes) and even more personal elements (overcoming fear and self achievement) in the later courses. These blocks of themed lesson plans have a list of goals each pupil will be aiming to achieve to complete the course.

At the end of every 2 months there will be a CHALLENGE DAY where the coaches test to see whether the goals from the previous month’s themes have been completed by each pupil. Once a pupil has completed all of the course goals, they will be able to advance to the next course level.

These courses must be completed in the above order by all pupils.

Parkour Development Course Classes

Not all of our classes are following our course structure. Our Fundamentals classes are open classes that are less structured and can be joined at any point. For those looking to join our courses to gain the most from each lesson and progress faster, as well as gain access to exclusive merchandise and discounts, the classes listed below are our current selection of Development Course

Winter Is Coming!

Winter Parkour Classes – December Update!

2018 is coming to a close and we can hardly believe it! So much has happened this year but it all happened so fast. We have a few announcements we would like to make before the year is out though for our winter parkour classes, including:

  • New online bookings for 2019
  • New Stockport based parkour classes
  • New indoors open parkour training in Manchester
  • Christmas holiday dates for parkour classes
  • Christmas present ideas!

Changes to Class Bookings!

After talking about it for well over a year, the time has finally come for us to move over to online bookings for our classes! As of 1st January 2019 all of our Project Z Parkour run classes will begin to operate as “bookings only” through our TeamUp calendar which can be found on our “classes” page. All current members will need to create a TeamUp account through the calendar to be able to book on to any classes starting in the new year. We will continue to operate on a “drop in” basis until the end of December 2018.

For classes run by separate organisations, such as the Gamesley Community Centre and Clayton Green Sports Centre classes, booking methods will remain the way they are and you do not have to do anything new.

If you have any questions about the new booking methods or are unsure about anything, please contact: info@projectzparkour.com and we will do our best to help.

New Stockport Parkour Classes

Due to the popular demand of our holiday camps and taster sessions in Stockport over the summer, we have just set up regular weekly classes over at Cloud Aerial Elite, Stockport on Saturday mornings. These will include our only classes available for 4 – 6 year olds so they definitely aren’t to be missed!

10:00 – 11:00 for 4 – 8 years
11:00 – 12:00 for 9 – 15 years

These classes are available to book through our TeamUp calendar.

New Open Parkour Training

Another thing we have been lacking for a while is open training time at indoors venues for our pupil’s to come and practice away from a coached environment. Well, thanks to the amazing powers-that-be over at Cloud Aerial Arts, we now have a weekly open parkour session for you. This will always be supervised by one of our own coaching team, though all training is done under your own direction.

This will be for pupil’s aged 14 and over and will run from 4 – 6pm every Saturday.

Christmas Holiday Dates

Our final classes of the year will be Sunday 23rd December across all venues.

All classes will resume from Friday 4th January 2019 and all Project Z Parkour classes will be bookable through our TeamUp calendar
