Manchester Takeover Map Explained
Use the Manchester Takeover Map above to locate any of the competitions 50+ challenges.
The challenges are split into 5 categories:
- Beginner (green pins)
- Intermediate (yellow pins)
- Advanced (red pins)
- Never Been Done (blue pins)
- Iconic (purple pins)
Beginner challenges are suitable for competitors with up to 1 year of regular parkour training. They involve basic/fundamental parkour movements performed in low consequence environments.
There are 15 beginners challenges across the Manchester Takeover Map.
Intermediate challenges will require experience gathered over multiple years of parkour regular training. These challenges involve more technical parkour movements or basic movements performed in medium consequence environments.
There are 15 intermediate challenges across the Manchester Takeover Map.
Advanced challenges were imagined with the most experienced parkour practitioners in mind. These challenges are a combination of highly technical movements and high consequence environments.

Never Been Done Challenges
Never been done challenges are the movements that fit one of two descriptions:
- Movements that no one has even imagined to be possible at our spots.
- Movements that have been imagined but no one has dared attempt yet.

Iconic challenges are movements based around iconic parts of Manchester. These could include challenges that every Manchester based parkour practitioner has done at least once in their life or interacting with an iconic part of Manchester’s culture.
