What is parkour / freerunning?

But what is Parkour? Well… Parkour / Freerunning is the non-competitive training of the body and mind to move freely over any route desired regardless of obstacles or challenges that may be faced.

Physically, Parkour sees practitioners challenging themselves through fundamental movements such as: jumping, vaulting, climbing and swinging to traverse obstacles. The aim being to achieve fluidity/ease of movement, not just for the challenge at hand but for any future challenges too.

By pushing their physical abilities and striving for continued self-improvement, a Traceur / Free Runner prepares their body to be strong, both physically and mentally, to be useful in their day to day life.
